Metal gear solid without a doubt. That game was something else
When I think of Wonderwa and the original play station I think of Metal Gear Solid
And of course definitely Crash Bandie Coot (not that I was fan) Wonderwa
Tekken. Me and my cousin would play it every afternoon.
Metal Gear Solid! I loved how Psycho Mantis would read your mind by scanning your Memory Card for konamis titles. It’s a game I’ll never forget!
I'd have say FF VIII. It was my first mainline FF game and it blew my mind. I also remember thinking it was wild it came in four CDs! My Nintendo friends couldn't dream of something similar with a Memory Card.
Probably gran turismo 1/2 . Started such a good franchise for racing games. Also FF7 is a good one for obvious reasons.
Final Fantasy 7. Once I saw it for the first time, it made me need a ps1.
MGS for sure. It was so cool and shocking when psycho mantis scans the memory card for konami games.
Ps1 Hagrid and wobbly graphics. If I think a little harder it'd have to be Crash Bandicoot, such a great mascot imo
Leaving the system running for weeks then losing all your progress when your mom turns it off cuz' you didn't have a memory card to save it to
Harry Potter 1 and 2 on PS1. I accidentally deleted my save on the memory card and cried when I was ten.
Definitely Metal Gear Solid and the fight against Psycho Mantis where you had to manipulate your Memory Card or controller or something of that nature and of course, FFVII!!!
What comes to mind when thinking of thr PS1? The portability of being able to bring your game and Memory Card to a friend's house to play and/or swap save files.
Metal Gear Solid, Blood Omen 2, Resident Evil 2 AND 3, the first SILENT HILL, and last but definitely not LEAST, the first and beautiful Soul Reaver. With my friend, who had the PS One, we needed TWO memory cards to store our saves!
Ahhh, those were the days...
Feeling left out! I never owned one but my close friend did 😁 Didn’t learn about memory cards until N64.
Unfortunately the only games that I played on ps1 was the first 2 spiderman games. It was my dad's so he had to keep room in his memory card for the games he played.
When I think of a game on the original PlayStation I always remember Metal Gear and the way Psychomantis read your memory card.
Final Fantasy 7!My memory card almost run out because of other rpgs but I managed to download it,and It was worth every bit of space!
The game that immediately comes to mind first is probably Warhawk. We're talking early Playstation so you didn't even use a memory card for saves. It provided you with passwords for each level instead.
Crash Bandicoot! Totally addicted to that! I didn't thave a PS1 but I'd play with my cousins aaaall summer vacation.
I've not played the 1st Playstation but Tomb raider comes to my mind as it gave rise to one of the best video game and fictional characters ever.
I still have 2 PS1 systems and they each have a MEMORY CARD still. I agree about Spyro! Love him 😍. But 40 Winks comes to my mind because I enjoyed playing it so much with my grandson when he was very young. ❤
Hmm...either Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 or Final Fantasy 7. I think I had the Final Fantasy memory card in the most though. Haha, I can hear One-Winged Angel playing in my head right now.
I always think about FInal Fantasy Tactics just because I played it so much growing up. But I also think about FInal Fantasy VII.
I always liked GranTurismo ... There was talk of a special coating on the disc that smelled like burnt rubber and exhaust fumes.
Bought my Gran Turismo pack from Woolworths..and I bought an extra Memory Card
A few things come to mind with the original PS1. Thinking about how much the memory card used to cost lol. The extender piece for extra controllers since it started off at 2 player only. Blitz the league and those demo discs in the mail. So many memories!!
FFVII!!!! The only game that I played that I NEVER FINISHED! I was super excited when I heard about the remake because, NO MEMORY CARDS to keep track of!
Crash bandicoot
Tekken, crash, spyro and a lack of a memory card...
Oh that's good, but for a game that immediately comes to my mind would have to be the very first Crash Bandicoot game, Crash Bandicoot defined alot of my taste for video game's growing up, it is truly one of the classics when it comes to old entertaining video game's.
Original PlayStation was a great time, the Rayman series with my grandma. The Memory Card was always at full capacity.
My first thought goes to Crash Bandicoot, for sure. But as for my favorite, it would have to be The Legend of the Dragoon.
My Memory Card was full of games like Tomb Raider, Spyro, and Crash Bandicoot! Some of the most fun franchises even til this date!
Twisted Metal comes to mind as one of the OG PlayStation games. My memory card was full of games played with my friends. Good times.
My wife and I used to play Jet Moto but I got tired of being beaten every time. Then I used the memory card and started to learn her tricks and a few new ones. Now it's more fun that we compete more evenly!
Crash Bandicoot 1 for me easily. The amount of detail that went into the stages along with the Saturday Morning design choice and music always reminds me why I was so addicted to the game as a kid. It was the first game I played that made me feel I could play cartoons instead of just watching them.
Wipe out for ever, the gfx the tunes, was in awe of it at the time
Metal Gear Solid and the hijinks they pulled with the Memory Card.
I think of Crash Bandicoot he’s so awesome.I loved his Astro Bit model. It was one of the most cherished games in my memory card.
Spyro twisted medal driver and ratchet and clank
Game is pretty Awesome I like it
Honestly the games the quality in the graphics and music will always be a home for me and honestly the fact that you could store so much memory on the memory cards will always blow my mind
When I hear original PlayStation, Crash Bandicoot immediately comes to mind. Crash Bandicoot 1 and Warped were my very first PS1 games and were what got me into the platforming genre.
I've never played the original Playstation but Final Fantasy VII comes to mind first because it was the first 3d Final Fantasy game. It wouldn't of been possible without the Ps1.
Metal Gear Solid
I'm gonna have to go with Tomb Raider; love those adventure "collect all the things" games.
I remember loving to break games like this on PS1 with a Game Shark Memory Card!
Wipeout and Tomb Raider were the 2 that had me sucked into the PS1 initially. Eventually was introduced to FFVII and I was hooked on PS as the rpg console
Metal gear solid and final fantasy 7. Oh and the ps demo discs! Man I miss those days. What was it electronic gaming monthly? Something else too. Loved those.
my switch is pretty good but my favorite game takes like 30% of my memory card. But still breath of the wild is pretty fun
The first game I ever played was gta 2. I think of how much fun I had eveytime i think of playstation.

Super Smash Bros is a massive series and is one of Nintendo's best-selling ones, too. The game features characters from various video game franchises, a lot of which are Nintendo's very own. However, especially with Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Nintendo has been branching out. This has left a lot of players wanting to see more characters in the game. Right now, I main Zelda or Zero Suit Samus, but if they added Lara Croft to the mix, I may change that.
Super Smash Bros is one of Nintendo's biggest franchises, and the version on the Switch brought a ton of new characters to the lineup. Some players pick their go-to character based on their own favorite character (I always go with Zelda or Samus), while others pick their character based on who they think has the best moveset overall. No matter who your favorite is, you're bound to find someone else who loves them too!
With the Marvel Rivals beta test wrapping up this weekend, I'll be trying to play as much as I can and earn those slick alternate skins. Outside of that, I've never really had the chance to properly sit down and give Red Dead Redemption 2 a go, so I think I'll get that kick started and see what all the fuss is about.
It's almost that time of year, when The Game Awards approaches and crowns the best of the best in gaming for the year. There have been some stand outs and, undoubtedly, there'll be a few games that deserve nominations but may miss out. I haven't played all of them, but based on reception and popularity, I would say that the Game of the Year nominees will be Astro Bot, Black Myth: Wukong, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Metaphor: ReFantazio, and Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth. Who would you have in the list?
I pre-ordered Days Gone because it was a survival game set in a zombie-riddled world, and the trailers looked great. I knew this game was right for me but when the reviews started coming out I got a little scared. I'm glad to say I wasn't disappointed, and despite a few rendering issues, it ran just fine on my PS4. I often go back to it and wish I could relive the first time I played it.
There are plenty of considerations to be made for such a tough decision, but with three options you could easily cover a number of genres to pique your interest. Facets like replayability, difficulty balances, originality, and how immersive the virtual world is would all be considered. It wouldn't be unusual to see the likes of Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA 5, or Baldur's Gate 3 make a few lists, but live service games like Fortnite or indie simulators like Stardew Valley would also not look out of place.
Several titles come to mind immediately when considering video games that deserve a remaster. Most of all, the Jak & Daxter or Ratchet & Clank series would be perfect for a trilogy remaster of the first three franchise titles, similar to the Crash and Spyro trilogy remasters. Other than that, The Simpsons: Hit & Run is a super honorable mention, as well as Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, simply because it may just be my favorite racing game of all time.
Answer this Thread to put your name in the draw for a PS5 Pro! Entries close November 12, 2024, at 11:59pm PT!This might be a bit of a wack take, but in the future, consoles should include a basic keyboard and mouse setup. The current gen of consoles is pretty much on par with some of the best gaming PCs, and if these consoles allowed access to Steam or other PC storefronts, they could become seen as a viable alternative for a pre-built PC. Though console players can hook up their own keyboard and mouse in some situations, it's rarely used for actual gameplay or as an alternative input method. But if future consoles shipped with a keyboard and mouse as a kind of hybrid console-PC, with full support for KB+M controls, it could open up a whole new frontier for a huge number of gamers who have never had access to MMOs, RTSes, and other games that just work better when using a KB+M.

Answer this Thread to put your name in the draw for a PS5 Pro! Entries close November 12, 2024, at 11:59pm PT!The Twisted Metal series is one of the most iconic PlayStation games of all time, but aside from the 2023 TV adaptation, we haven't seen a new Twisted Metal entry for more than 12 years. The over-the-top violence and fun driving mechanics comprised a simple but ridiculously fun concept that led to a lot of games in the late 90s and 2000s, but we haven't heard barely a peep since 2012. With all the leaps in technology since the PS3 era, a bombastic, modernized remake of the first Twisted Metal game could do wonders to reboot the series' popularity and make for a good competitor in the relatively sparse party racing genre.
Star Wars Outlaws has now made its full release, so I'll be continuing my playthrough of that, as well as getting in a few rounds of Smite 2, which just launched its 24/7 alpha that'll continue until its 2025 free-to-play release. Whether it's a new release or an old favorite, what'll your gaming system be firing up over the weekend?
Much like my Stardew Valley farm and my town in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, I named my Animal Crossing: New Horizons island "Oreo".
The next big addition to the extensive collection of Mario party games is slowly approaching its release date, with many of us wondering if there will be any surprise characters added as playable options. With the trailer announcing a game mode that involves up to 20 players, the assumption is that there'll be the absolute minimum number of characters. Personally, I'd love to see the likes of Bowser Jr and Diddy Kong moved to be playable characters. Given the scale of the game, that would seem likely, but there are plenty more characters from the Mario universe that would fit in nicely here.

Entries close November 12, 2024, at 11:59pm PT!It's hard to choose just three from the enormous lineup of the best PS exclusives of all time, but if I could only choose three to play for the rest of my life I'd have to make my choices based on their replayability, or at least my enjoyment of them in the long term. I'd personally choose:- Bloodborne- Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2- Shadow of the ColossusI would probably get tired of Shadow of the Colossus after a few times through, but Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 and Bloodborne are timeless classics that I wouldn't mind replaying over and over.
I think Guild Wars 2 has the best mounts I've ever used in an MMO. While Final Fantasy 14 offers a ton of variety, all of them are virtually the same. In Guild Wars 2, each mount has a distinct purpose, from the fast-moving Raptor to the far-gliding Griffin and the Skyscale with limited flight capabilities. None of them really invalidate each other, and there are plenty of skins to collect for each mount too.
The PlayStation 3 is my favorite PlayStation console because it holds the most sentimental value for me. Since I was always more of a Nintendo player when I was a kid, I used the PS2 almost exclusively for EyeToy and watching DVDs. However, I played tons of games that I loved on the PS3 while I was in middle school, such as The Sims 3, EyePet, and Guitar Hero, so it'll always have a special place in my heart. I also used to play my favorite CDs on it when my sound system stopped working.
When starting Hogwarts Legacy, players will either need to pick a House from Hogwarts to start in, or they will need to take the House quiz for the game to decide which House is correct for them. Whether you were in your favorite House, or the House you were born to be in, you ended up right where you belonged. The truth is, the House doesn't matter too much (other than Hufflepuffs visiting Azkaban). I started out playing as a Ravenclaw student, which is the House that Pottermore sorted me into years ago (and as a child, I was not happy it wasn't Gryffindor). Thankfully, it seems that the Sorting Hat was right about my House all along.
My first choice would be a crossover collaboration that adds Kingdom Hearts Characters such as Sora/Riku/Roxas/Kairi etc, and KH versions of the Disney Characters such as Kingdom Hearts: Goofy and Kingdom Hearts: Donald. Other than that, I'd love to see Moana and Maui from Moana, Koda and/or Kenai from Brother Bear, Jack Skellington, Sally, and Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Reuben from Lilo & Stitch, Milo and Kida from Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Bagheera, Baloo, Shere Khan, and Mowgli from The Jungle Book, and Alice, the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland.
With almost every weapon in the game now in a decently powerful straight, my new favorite in Helldivers 2 is now the Purifier. It used to be one of the most underwhelming weapons in the arsenal, but now that it works like a Scorcher that you can charge up, it's basically perfect for fights with a lot of medium armor.
Whether it's crafting, cooking, running, fishing, or a series of other fun activities, villagers are nearly always up to something in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I always find it particularly adorable when my villagers sing. I have villagers who are definitely more into it; they'll start singing randomly while looking at the sea, while others will only do it if they walk by a radio. Nevertheless, I always make sure that I'm there to applaud their performance at the end of the show.
